Greek Night Naan

Just make this…trust me.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings: 4
Course: Side Dish
Cuisine: Greek

Ingredients

  • 1 glop olive oil
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 near cup greek yogurt

Equipment

  • 1 food processor plastic blades

Method

  1. in a measuring cup, cover the bottom with olive oil…maybe an overflowing tablespoon
  2. add the water
  3. add enough yogurt to make a cup. Mix this all up.
  4. Throw your flour in the processor and then add yogurt mixture.
  5. Mix this until it's a dough ball….if it's crumbly looking, add some olive oil a tsp at a time. If it feels too wet, add a little flour……keep mixing until you get a nice dough ball
  6. remove from bowl and make it into a flat ball…divide into 8 pieces.
  7. make each piece into a ball and roll it out very thin.
  8. Get a cast iron or heavy pan hot…add a little oil to the pan or your dough rounds (maybe a dash of garlic or greek seasonings on your dough rounds).
  9. Pan fry each of the rounds/naan. If you did good, you'll get bubbles in your dough that get a little toasty…..don't overcook though…you'll get the hang of it after doing this a few times.
  10. Serve with gyro meat or greek meatballs and some tzatziki or hummus or all and then cucumbers and onions and tomatoes……mmmmmmmmm…..
