A weekly check-in…

Our girls are really doing their job!!! I absolutely love our colorful eggs.

My mom lets me know that their part of the world is completely done with this white stuff…aka, snow. For us, we didn’t get near enough so get ridiculously excited. I am sick of the cold temperatures and ready for spring but if the daffodils have snow, I’ll be okay with that….actually the snow would cover all this dead and brown!!!!

I’ve yet to post on all these pics that I printed out…sometime….but this is the state of my Soybean. He fractured his ankle after what was initially a sprain. He’s not in any alarming pain but he’s in the boot. …currently his work level is throwing things on the ceiling and waiting for them to drop. Connor has also been known to do such exciting things!

Good luck looking at this! No idea….but his orthopedic surgeon believes it may be healing on its own so we’re playing the waiting game. In two weeks he goes back to see if there is clear separation/larger crack and then he’ll know if he needs a pin/surgery. prayers on this!!!!!

Some St Patrick’s day love……

I’ve always wanted a library. Our house is only about 2000 square feet so not big at all…we do maximize what we can. …..enter, the most awesomest shelves!!! My old shelf here was leaning terribly and was a painted, cheap number that served us well for years but now……I have nice shelves. It’ll be fun decorating these.

If you look in the picture above, the wainscoting is white. I decided we had enough leftover paint from our bathroom and switched it to green one afternoon (much to the delight of the painter-hating Mikey). đŸ¥°. …these shelves are awesome but the guys spent a good amount of time making them even and aligned just right….love this!

If you were to walk in my front door, you’d see the steps right in front of the door and then head left to this…I absolutely love it. The green wainscoting darkens this corner and I’ve gotta figure out if I’m getting rid of the white shelf, painting it green to match the wainscoting, or leaving it alone. ….We had plans to get a new couch…this one is as old as dirt but after shopping and stressing and putting a big cream colored couch in a cart, purchasing it and then cancelling it…I’m washing all of these cushions today and keeping this. …part of me wants to fancy it up and get a couch and then just a really nice chair and all of us sit up and be civilized but the fact is….dogs…teens….we have company that falls asleep here…..for now, I’m keeping the big ugly sectional. ….We had to actually take that ottoman from the sectional because the shelves take up so much space…it has left a section of wood peeping through that I’m going to need to cover…for now, big pillows hide it enough to not bug my ridiculous OCD self. …..anywho, sending love and prayers to our troops, our family and friends, and shining outwards towards the rest of the world. Keep on making your world a good one. xo
